With over a decade of experience practicing law, James earned his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and completed his undergraduate studies at Florida International University and The National Labor College, earning degrees in Economics and Labor Studies.
Before entering private practice, James had a distinguished 30-year career in government service as an air traffic controller and simultaneously representing employees and negotiating labor agreements.
He also served in the US Navy as an electronics technician and was highly decorated and honorably discharged.
